So this past weekend we decided to drive down to southern Alberta and do some camping. We went to a little tiny town called Mountain View, seriously like population 6 1/2 (one girl is pregnant)... jk, it was a really nice little town..... but really really REALLY small. However small it was, it still had a huge ward!!! And then the next tiny town over had IT's own ward.... These mormon settlements are still a foreign thing to me, but Im getting used to it slowly.
ANYWAY ... back to camping. We were at our friend Lindseys parents cattle ranch, I think they said they had about 900 acres so its seriously huge and there is a river that runs through it so we set up our tents down by the river. It was alot of fun camping, you could hear coyotes and also their cattle, their ranch is right by the mountains and it was a spectacular view, so gorgeous!

We took a sunday drive through the National Park that is there, up in the mountains and saw all kinds of deer & other animals just walking around. We also saw this little baby bear cub.. so cute!!! I was standing beside this lake there looking at a diagram of the surrounding mountains and noticed that on the other side of the lake that i was at was Montana!!!! (my brother Peter is serving his mission in montana) i was shocked!!! i didnt realize that we were that far south all weekend! It was so tempting just to hop in the car and drive across the border.

When we were on our way back home from mountain view some ranchers were doing a cattle drive down the middle of the street, it was crazy! We took a video of that and its on face book... so weird.
All the pictures from the trip are on face book too!

Sounds like a great place to go camping! It must be weird to see such big wards in such small places!
